Win a Luxury Picnic Hamper with National Picnic Week (CLOSED)

Hello everyone!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  Can you believe that I am still waiting for my first June win – going through my worst dry spell in years!  To top it all it was the Isle of Wight Festival at the weekend, and hubby and I must have entered hundreds of competitions between us to try and win tickets but all to no avail!  We had to make do with catching a vague waft of music floating on the breeze, and catch up coverage on the TV – fail!

Still, at least the weather has been good the last few weeks, so can’t really complain.  We have been able to get out and about as often as we can, and weekend activities really start to ramp up now here on the Island with the Round the Island Race at the end of the month and various other sailing events and festivals to go and see.  It does mean that my comping time is taking a back seat again though, which is a drawback of the summer but one that I can deal with.

One thing I do love about the summer months is packing up a picnic and heading off for a Greer Mystery Tour.  Nothing better than making a load of sandwiches, throwing them in a picnic hamper with crisps, homemade cakes, fruit and a flask of coffee and seeing where the road takes you – we always manage to stumble upon some great picnic spots this way!  Did you know that this week (13-21 June 2015) is National Picnic Week – what better way to get the family outdoors for some al fresco dining and fun!

To celebrate The PrizeFinder has a fantastic exclusive competition for all our members to win a fabulous four person picnic hamper!  The Buckingham Luxury Wicker Picnic Hamper comes complete with built in chiller compartment, blanket and enough plates, wine glasses and accessories to take four people on a picnic in comfortable style!  To enter this competition you need to be a registered PrizeFinder member, logged into your account and leave me a blog comment below with what your picnic essentials are.  For me it has to be homemade sausage rolls – infinitely more tasty and satisfying than the flabby shop bought varieties.  One comment per person please and remember that comments are moderated and won’t appear immediately.  One entry will be drawn at random after the closing date of 23:59 on Sunday 21st June 2015 – Good luck!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

I make fajita chicken with peppers and onions and we have that cold in tortillas. Add plenty of salad and homemade potato salad. Bowls (or Tupperware tubs) of strawberries and cream, to dollop on top & a little, no no no, a lot of the big yellow thing up in the sky and we are in heaven.

nibbles are best, mini cocktail sausages, min pork pies, mini scotch eggs, mini pizza bites, etc. find the grand-kids prefer these to sandwiches

Home made ham and egg pie, cheese and pickle sandwiches, home made cake (either lemon syrup loaf cake or blackberry friands ..... or both!) and some diet cola.

Sausage rolls for me too, along with pork pies and ham sandwiches! Delicious. There is a local farm shop that makes their own and they taste so good, I'm hungry now!

For me I LOVE cooking so it has to be Homemade scotch eggs, runny in the middle of course! Jerk Chicken and herby couscous (fusion is the future), some bubbles are nice too, the alcoholic kind.
